Vibrant Welcome Activities for Cohort 26D Freshmen Across Faculties and Institutes
Following their first days of classes, Cohort 26D freshmen at the University of Finance - Marketing continued their journey of adapting to university life through a series of welcome activities organized by faculties and institutes over the past week.
Featuring distinctive themes and formats, the events created a vibrant and welcoming environment where new students could connect with their peers and gain a better understanding of the faculties and institutes that will accompany them throughout their university journey.
At each academic unit, freshmen were introduced to their majors, curricula, lecturers and academic advisors, as well as a wide range of academic, extracurricular and student development activities. Information that may have seemed unfamiliar during the first days of university gradually became more accessible and easier to understand, helping students gain a clearer picture of their learning pathways, personal development opportunities and future experiences at the University.
Beyond introductory sessions, the welcome activities also provided valuable opportunities to strengthen connections across generations of students within each faculty and institute. Cohort 26D students had the opportunity to meet representatives of the Youth Union and Student Association, student clubs, teams and groups, alumni and senior students, who shared practical insights into effective study methods, extracurricular participation, skills development and adaptation to university life.
These open and friendly exchanges helped bridge the initial distance between freshmen and their new community. Alongside a better understanding of their academic programmes, students were also introduced to a diverse range of opportunities in academic activities, culture and the arts, sports, volunteering and other platforms through which they can develop essential skills and build meaningful relationships during their years at the University.

Each faculty and institute has its own identity, and each field of study opens up a different academic journey. Yet a shared spirit of openness, companionship and connection was evident throughout the series of activities. Through these programmes, freshmen not only gained a clearer understanding of what they will study and who will accompany them academically, but also began to discover the people and communities with whom they will share an important chapter of their youth.
From the initial sense of unfamiliarity when first entering the university environment, classrooms, lecturers, friends and student activities within each faculty and institute are gradually becoming part of the freshmen’s everyday lives. A first handshake, an initial conversation or the first shared group activity may seem like small moments, but it is through these experiences that meaningful connections and a sense of community begin to take shape.

The series of welcome activities organized by the University’s faculties and institutes therefore represents more than the beginning of a new academic year. It marks an important first step for each Cohort 26D freshman in finding their place, building connections and becoming an active member of the University community.

As the feeling of simply “going to university” gradually gives way to a genuine sense of belonging, a new and memorable chapter of their university journey truly begins.
