The Hospitality Management programme aims to educate graduates with professional integrity, service orientation, and managerial capability, equipped with comprehensive knowledge and practical competencies to deliver service excellence and manage hospitality operations in dynamic, multicultural, and internationally connected environments. The programme emphasizes operational proficiency, customer experience management, and the effective use of hospitality technologies to enhance service quality and business performance.
Specifically, the programme prepares graduates to:
- Apply foundational hospitality knowledge and service management principles to operate and manage core functions in hotels, lodging, restaurants, events, and related tourism services.
- Plan, organize, and supervise front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest service processes in alignment with quality standards and customer expectations.
- Use hospitality technologies and digital tools (e.g., PMS, online distribution channels, customer experience systems) to support daily operations and improve efficiency.
- Apply basic revenue, cost, and performance management practices to optimize service outcomes and operational effectiveness.
- Demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, and stakeholder coordination in professional hospitality settings, including customer interaction and service recovery.
- Communicate effectively in professional and multicultural environments, including workplace reporting, negotiation, and presentations where required.
- Uphold professional ethics, legal compliance, workplace safety, and responsible practices, including sustainability considerations in hospitality operations.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, innovation, and lifelong learning to adapt to industry changes and pursue entrepreneurial opportunities in hospitality.
