On November 3, 2026, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a leading international higher education ranking organization, officially announced the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2027. A New Milestone in UFM's 50-Year Journey of Development

UFM's debut in the QS Asia University Rankings 2027 is particularly meaningful as the University celebrates its 50th anniversary (1976–2026), marking half a century of establishment, growth, and development.

Over the years, UFM has continuously pursued educational innovation, placing strong emphasis on improving the quality of its academic staff, advancing scientific research, accelerating digital transformation, and strengthening partnerships with international educational institutions, organizations, and the business community.

The year 2026 also marks a significant milestone in UFM's institutional development strategy, with the expansion of its educational network through three branch campuses in Hue City, Quang Ngai Province, and Dong Nai Province. The development of a multi-campus university model not only broadens access to higher education for students in different localities but also enhances regional connectivity and contributes to meeting workforce demands for socio-economic development.

Alongside its institutional expansion, UFM continues to promote the internationalization of higher education by strengthening academic partnerships, joint research initiatives, academic exchanges, and engagement with international partners. These efforts align with the University's application-oriented educational strategy, fostering closer connections between academic knowledge, professional practice, and the evolving needs of the labor market.

As a public higher education institution under the Ministry of Finance, UFM identifies the development of high-quality human resources in finance, economics, business, management, and emerging fields associated with digital transformation and international economic integration as a central priority of its long-term development strategy.

Strengthening Educational Quality and Enhancing

Institutional Reputation UFM's first appearance in the QS Asia University Rankings 2027 represents an encouraging initial achievement while reinforcing the University's commitment to further strengthening its quality assurance system, enhancing research capacity, developing its academic workforce, and expanding its presence within the international academic community.

As higher education increasingly emphasizes quality, transparency, and global competitiveness, participation in international university rankings serves not only as a measure of institutional standing but also as a valuable benchmarking tool. Such assessments enable universities to evaluate their performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and establish strategic priorities for future development.

Building upon five decades of achievements, together with its ongoing transformation toward a multi-campus university model, educational innovation, and expanded international cooperation, UFM is progressively realizing its vision of becoming a modern, high-quality, and sustainably developed higher education institution.

UFM's debut in the QS Asia University Rankings 2027 is therefore more than a source of institutional pride. It serves as a powerful motivation for the University to continue innovating, building on its strengths, enhancing its academic reputation, and progressively affirming its position within Vietnam's higher education system and the wider Asian region.
