University of Finance – Marketing partners with HSBC Vietnam to equip students with career readiness in banking
On September 22, 2026, the University of Finance – Marketing, in collaboration with HSBC Vietnam, organized the seminar “Career Orientation in Banking and Career Opportunities at HSBC Vietnam,” attracting more than 400 students, particularly third-year students and recent graduates interested in pursuing careers in the banking and financial sector.
The program formed part of the University’s efforts to strengthen connections between academic training and professional practice, while creating opportunities for students to engage directly with enterprises, update themselves on labour market trends, and better understand recruitment requirements in an increasingly competitive and internationally integrated environment.
Attending the program on behalf of the University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Dao, Vice President, together with representatives of relevant faculties and departments. HSBC Vietnam was represented by leaders, experts, and recruitment specialists who shared practical insights into the banking industry, career development pathways, and the competencies required in a modern financial institution.
In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Dao emphasized the important role of business engagement in higher education. He noted that direct interaction with enterprises enables students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical requirements, thereby helping them identify the skills, attitudes, and professional competencies needed for their future careers.

During the seminar, representatives of HSBC Vietnam provided students with an overview of current trends in the banking sector, including digital transformation, changes in customer service models, and the growing demand for high-quality human resources. They also introduced internship and employment opportunities at HSBC Vietnam, as well as the professional qualities expected from candidates in an international working environment.
The program featured a lively exchange between students and HSBC Vietnam representatives. Many questions focused on recruitment criteria, internship programs, essential skills, career progression, and the working culture of an international bank. Through these discussions, students gained a clearer understanding of the banking profession and the preparations needed before entering the labour market.
Beyond providing information on employment opportunities, the seminar helped students assess their own capabilities and define suitable learning and career development goals. Early access to practical career guidance is expected to support students in building a solid foundation of knowledge, skills, and professional orientation throughout their university journey.
The event once again affirmed the University of Finance – Marketing’s commitment to enhancing training quality through close cooperation with enterprises. By expanding opportunities for students to learn from real-world practice, the University continues to promote a learner-centred approach, equipping students with the confidence and readiness to adapt to the changing demands of the labour market.
