On August 8, 2026, University of Finance - Marketing held a ceremony at its Long Truong Campus to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its Traditional Day (September 1, 1976 – September 1, 2026). Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau attended the event and delivered remarks on the University’s future development.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the University’s five-decade journey, honoring generations of leaders, lecturers, staff, students, and alumni who have contributed to its growth and achievements.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee and President, emphasized that the University is entering a new stage of development driven by digital transformation, artificial intelligence, international integration, and growing demands for high-quality human resources. By 2030, the University aims to reach approximately 48,000 learners and become one of Vietnam’s top 50 higher education institutions.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau commended the University’s achievements over the past 50 years and highlighted several priorities for the next stage. These include improving education quality, strengthening research and innovation, modernizing university governance, developing high-quality academic staff, applying artificial intelligence, and expanding cooperation with government agencies, businesses, localities, and international academic partners.

At the ceremony, the University received several prestigious commendations, including the Prime Minister’s Emulation Flag, the Traditional Flag of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, and Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education and Training.

The 50th anniversary reaffirmed University of Finance - Marketing’s commitment to building on its legacy while pursuing innovation, international integration, sustainable development, and greater contributions to Vietnam’s education and socio-economic development.
