In recent days, anyone browsing social media and searching the hashtag #UFM50000ViecTot can easily come across thousands of posts by students of the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM), actively responding to the movement “50,000 Good Deeds – UFM’s Golden Spirit Reaches Everywhere” launched by the University’s Youth Union and Student Association. Each post tells a meaningful story and reflects an act of kindness, ranging from simple gestures such as picking up litter on campus, supporting classmates, donating blood, and taking part in community activities, to initiatives that spread a positive and responsible way of life. Together, these actions have created a vivid portrait of a generation of UFM students who are dynamic, responsible, and deeply compassionate.

The movement “50,000 Good Deeds – UFM’s Golden Spirit Reaches Everywhere” was launched at the beginning of 2026 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the University of Finance – Marketing’s traditional day (September 1, 1976 – September 1, 2026). The figure 50,000 is not only symbolic of the University’s 50-year journey of formation and development, but also reflects the aspiration to spread good deeds widely throughout the student community. With nearly 20,000 students, the movement encourages each Youth Union member and student to carry out at least two positive actions, thereby contributing to a civilized, friendly and humane educational environment, while fostering moral values and a positive lifestyle among UFM students.

Sharing the significance of the movement, Nguyễn Tiến Khôi, Secretary of the UFM Youth Union, stated: “The movement ‘50,000 Good Deeds – UFM’s Golden Spirit Reaches Everywhere’ was launched to encourage every Youth Union member and student to take the initiative in doing good deeds in learning, self-improvement and daily life. The choice of 50,000 good deeds is associated not only with the University’s 50-year milestone, but also with the goal of inspiring UFM youth to spread positivity and build the image of UFM students as responsible, kind-hearted and community-minded. The Youth Union and Student Association hope that the image and spirit of UFM students will continue to spread widely throughout the community and society.”

The movement has not been limited to online participation. It has also been implemented in a coordinated manner through various programs that create concrete opportunities for Youth Union members and students to get involved, including community volunteer activities, Green Sundays, Volunteer Saturdays, academic support initiatives, building a green – clean – beautiful campus, and voluntary blood donation.

Sharing on her personal page while taking part in the movement, student Huyền Trân wrote: “To me, a good deed does not have to be something big. It simply needs to come from sincerity and compassion. I hope that from the small actions we take today, the spirit of kindness at UFM will continue to spread even more strongly.”

The movement “50,000 Good Deeds – UFM’s Golden Spirit Reaches Everywhere” is not only a meaningful emulation campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the University’s traditional day, but also an initiative that nurtures positive values among students. Through small actions in everyday life, UFM youth are joining hands to build a humane learning environment and to spread the image of University of Finance – Marketing students as dynamic, creative, kind and socially responsible. The movement will continue to be promoted by the Youth Union and Student Association in the time ahead.
