UFM welcomes MOET appraisal Council for on-site review of proposal to establish Dong Nai Branch Campus based on College of Statistics 2
The working session marks an important step in UFM’s roadmap to expand its academic network and enhance high-quality human resource development in the Southeast region
On the morning of April 18, 2026, at College of Statistics 2 in Dong Nai Province, the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM) hosted an on-site working session with the Appraisal Council of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) regarding the proposal to establish a UFM branch campus in Dong Nai on the basis of College of Statistics 2.
The Appraisal Council delegation included representatives from leadership units under the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Dong Nai Department of Education and Training. The delegation was led by Mr. Hoang Bach Viet, Deputy Director General of the Department of Organization and Personnel under MOET and Vice Chairman of the Council.

Representing UFM and the related institution were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quoc Viet, Vice Rector of UFM; M.A. Ha Duc Thuy, Acting Vice Rector of College of Statistics 2; together with leaders of relevant departments and units.
At the working session, UFM presented a summary of the proposal to establish the Dong Nai branch campus on the basis of College of Statistics 2. The Council reviewed the report, exchanged views, and provided comments to further refine the proposal. Key issues discussed included the necessity of establishing the branch campus, its organizational structure, infrastructure and facilities, academic orientation, and the conditions required to ensure educational quality.
During the appraisal, Council members generally agreed that the establishment of a UFM branch campus in Dong Nai is aligned with local human resource development needs and consistent with the province’s higher education development orientation. At the same time, the Council recommended that UFM continue reviewing, supplementing, and finalizing several aspects of the proposal to ensure full compliance with current regulations.
In the concluding remarks, the Council’s representative acknowledged UFM’s serious preparation and strong sense of responsibility throughout the process. The Council also emphasized the importance of completing the dossier and ensuring all required conditions are met so that the proposal can be submitted to the competent authorities for consideration and decision in the near future.

Conducted in a serious, constructive, and responsible spirit, the working session marked an important milestone in the roadmap toward the establishment of UFM’s branch campus in Dong Nai. The initiative is expected to contribute to the expansion of UFM’s training network and further enhance the quality of human resource development for Dong Nai Province and the wider region.
