UFM proposes multi-layered financing for Quang Ngai economic zones

On August 14, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of University of Finance - Marketing, attended the scientific conference “Sustainable Development of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks in the Digital Era” in Quang Ngai Province. The event marked the 30th anniversary of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks. 

At the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Dat presented a paper on mobilizing financial resources for the next stage of development of Dung Quat Economic Zone and local industrial parks. He proposed a multi-layered financing mechanism combining state budget resources with land-based revenues, private investment, public-private partnerships (PPP), and green finance. 

The proposed approach aims to improve resource allocation and reinvestment in strategic infrastructure, environmental protection, social services, digital transformation, and human resource development, creating a stronger foundation for sustainable long-term growth. 

The conference also addressed key issues including the green economy, high-quality human resources, science and technology, digital transformation, and innovation. The University’s participation reaffirmed its role in providing research-based solutions and strengthening links among universities, government agencies, and businesses in support of local sustainable development.
