UFM successfully organized the press conference and the draw to divide the group of the National Student Football Champions League 2022 in the southern region

On the morning of September 6th, 2022, the University of Finance - Marketing (UFM), the host of the National Student Football Championship - SV Champions League 2022 in the South region of Vietnam, successfully held a press conference and the group draw. Mr. Luong The Tai, head of the competition committee of Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Phuc, Director of Phu Nhuan District Sports Center; Mr. Luong Quoc Dat, Chairman of Phu Nhuan Football Stadium Club; Dr. Le Trung Dao, the Vice President of UFM and the Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee in the South region; and many representatives of the teams participating in the tournament; reporters, journalists attended the program.

Dr. Le Trung Dao, the Vice President of UFM and Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee in the South region, gave a speech at the press conference.

Mr. Luong The Tai, head of the competition committee of Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation, declared the rules and regulations of the competition and managed the group draw.

The national student football championship - SV Champions League 2022 in the South region will be held at Phu Nhuan football field (No. 3 Hoang Minh Giam street, Ward 9, Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City) from the date of September 17th, 2022 to October 15th, 2022 with the participation of 20 football teams, including: Can Tho University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Hutech), Tra Vinh University, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, the School of Combat Engineer Officers, University of Finance - Marketing, The Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Van Hien University, Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Saigon Technology University, Nong Lam University- Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, The Saigon International University, University of Economics and Law (Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City), Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry, Ton Duc Thang University, and Dong Thap University.

The table of four groups

Twenty teams are divided into four groups to compete in a round-robin tournament. Each group chooses the two highest scoring teams to enter the next round. At the end of the tournament, the top 5 teams with the highest rankings will participate in the National Final Round in Hanoi.

The lucky or unlucky draws that the leaders of the teams drew created an exciting and dramatic atmosphere for this competition. Based on the performance in recent years, we can see that group A is the most influential group, including strong teams, which are predicted to be bright candidates for the regional championship. In addition, two teams from Can Tho city were randomly drawn into the same group. All of the above elements promise to create engaging and exciting competitive football matches.

The National Student Football Championship - SV Champions League 2022 in the South region aims to promote the movement "All Vietnamese citizens do exercises following Uncle Ho's example" to improve health and develop physical fitness and holistic development of students. Furthermore, the Board of organizers expects to create a healthy and helpful playground for students in the southern region to exchange learning experiences and compete in sports. Under the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training, the University of Finance - Marketing hosted the National Student Football Championship - SV Champions League 2022 in the southern region.
