UFM Launches the “NextGen Business Olympiad 2025” Competition
The “NextGen Business Olympiad 2025” competition, hosted by the University of Finance and Marketing (UFM) in collaboration with Princeton English (PE), has officially been launched as an international-level academic platform for high school and university students passionate about business, economics, and management. The program aims to create an environment that fosters business thinking, academic English skills, presentation abilities, teamwork, and learning connectivity with educational and industry partners both domestically and internationally.
Designed following the structure of global academic competitions in business, the “NextGen Business Olympiad 2025” focuses on real-world themes such as economics – finance, international business, management, marketing, services – tourism, entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development. The competition is open to high school students, as well as university and college students in Vietnam and abroad, including UFM students. Contestants participate in teams of up to five members, with encouragement to include teachers, lecturers, or academic advisors. This structure gives participants valuable opportunities to strengthen teamwork, project-based thinking, role assignment, and interdisciplinary collaboration—essential skills in today’s global business environment.
Competition content and format require teams to develop proposals, solutions, or business models presented entirely in English, aligned with current socio-economic contexts and focusing on four main areas:
1. Analysis of economic–financial policies, financial markets, banking, and investment;
2. Business innovation, service management, and entrepreneurship in fields such as tourism, hospitality, and commerce;
3. Cross-border business, international trade, supply chains, and global management;
4. Product development or scientific–technological solutions with innovation, high applicability, and alignment with sustainable development goals.
The competition includes two rounds, conducted entirely in English:
(1) Preliminary Round (22/11/2025 – 30/12/2025): Teams submit structured written proposals online, presenting context, problem identification, proposed solutions, feasibility, and practical impact. The judging panel will assess submissions based on creativity, applicability, field relevance, and scientific rigor.
(2) Final Round (17/01/2026): Outstanding teams will deliver live presentations in English at the 7th-floor Auditorium, 27 Tân Mỹ Campus, UFM. Each team has 15 minutes (7 minutes for presentation and 8 minutes for Q&A). Teams are encouraged to prepare posters, models, or product prototypes to enhance clarity and persuasiveness.
The Organizing Committee requires all submissions to be original, non-plagiarized, and free from copyright or intellectual property violations. Submissions must not reuse content that has previously won major awards. All data must be accurate with proper citations where applicable. Contestants must also comply with behavioral guidelines, follow competition rules, and participate fully in all scheduled rounds.
The “NextGen Business Olympiad 2025” offers a prize structure that includes cash awards and certificates for winning teams:
First Prize: 5,000,000 VND
Second Prize: 3,000,000 VND
Third Prize: 2,000,000 VND
