As choosing an academic major becomes increasingly important in shaping students’ future pathways, the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM) has been actively expanding and diversifying its career guidance and admissions counseling initiatives. Through innovative and student-centered approaches, the university aims to help prospective students gain a clearer understanding of academic disciplines before making one of the most important decisions of their educational journey.

Among UFM’s most notable initiatives is the experiential program “A Day as a UFMer,” organized at the Long Trường campus. The program offers high school students an opportunity to step into university life and experience what it means to be a UFM student for a day. More than simply visiting the campus, participants are immersed in a vibrant academic environment where they can explore lecture halls, modern learning facilities, and a wide range of interactive activities.

Through direct exchanges with lecturers and current students, participants are introduced to detailed information about academic programs, learning pathways, and career prospects after graduation. They are also encouraged to raise questions and engage in open discussion, allowing their concerns about program choices and future career directions to be addressed in a practical and meaningful way.

Beyond academic exploration, the program also gives students a vivid sense of student life at UFM. From dynamic learning spaces to youthful community areas, the university presents itself as a modern, friendly, and highly connected educational environment. In this way, “A Day as a UFMer” serves not only as an experiential activity, but also as an effective career-orientation model that helps students bridge the gap between information on paper and the realities of university learning.
This initiative also reflects UFM’s broader commitment to innovation in admissions and student outreach. By providing authentic and engaging experiences, the university enables prospective students to develop a more complete and accurate understanding before making important decisions about their future.
Alongside in-person experiential activities, UFM has also strengthened its online counseling and orientation efforts through programs such as “Cẩm nang Gen Giỏi” and “UFM Talk & Share.” These series feature experienced lecturers, respected experts, and leaders from major enterprises, offering multidimensional perspectives on academic programs, labor market trends, and career opportunities across disciplines. Designed in an accessible and relatable format, the programs help prospective students answer key questions about what they will study, what career paths they may pursue, and what opportunities each field can offer.
A particularly distinctive feature of these programs is the integration of real-life exploration by the hosts themselves, who directly engage with specific disciplines and professional environments. This approach gives viewers a clearer and more vivid picture of the nature of each profession, the working environment, and the knowledge and skills required in different fields.

By flexibly combining hands-on experiences with online counseling, the University of Finance – Marketing has demonstrated a proactive and creative approach to admissions and career guidance. These efforts not only make information more accessible and engaging but also contribute to helping students make more informed choices aligned with their abilities, interests, and long-term aspirations.
In the coming time, UFM will continue to innovate its counseling methods, expand experiential activities, and strengthen connections with real-world practice, reaffirming its role as a higher education institution that accompanies students in shaping their future careers.
