From November 5–9, 2025, a delegation from the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM), led by Dr. Cao Tấn Huy, Vice President, together with representatives from the Institute of International Education, conducted a working visit to Kyungpook National University (KNU) in South Korea. The visit aimed to strengthen international academic collaboration and to participate in the International Scientific Conference titled “Equilibrium: Toward a Fulfilling Life”, held at the Andong International Convention Center in Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea.
At the conference, representatives from the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM) made a strong academic and practical impression through their insightful presentations. Dr. Bùi Thị Thu Thảo delivered a paper titled “Human Development and Economic Growth in Vietnam”, which focused on analyzing the interactive relationship between human development and economic growth in the context of Vietnam’s pursuit of sustainable and socially equitable development. The presentation highlighted Vietnam’s strategic orientation toward investing in education, healthcare, and high-quality human resources as fundamental pillars for long-term economic growth.


In the same discussion session, Dr. Cao Tấn Huy, Vice President of the University of Finance – Marketing, delivered an impressive presentation titled “Vietnam’s Humanistic Traditions for a New Asian Community.” His talk emphasized Vietnam’s profound humanistic values—such as community spirit, compassion, and tolerance—which serve as essential foundations for building a “New Humanistic Asian Community.” The presentation was highly appreciated by scholars for its distinctive cultural perspective and timely message on achieving a balance between material and spiritual development in the era of globalization.
The presence of the UFM delegation at the conference not only reaffirmed the university’s academic standing in the region but also opened up numerous opportunities for international collaboration. During the visit, the delegation held bilateral meetings with the leadership of Kyungpook National University, discussing potential areas of cooperation such as academic exchange programs, joint research initiatives, co-hosted conferences, and faculty–student mobility. Both sides agreed on a long-term collaboration roadmap, aiming to develop dual-degree programs and joint research projects in the fields of economics, management, and finance. This working trip marked a significant milestone in UFM’s higher education internationalization strategy, enhancing the university’s image as a reputable academic partner in Northeast Asia. The success of the delegation not only showcased Vietnam’s academic and intellectual contributions to the international community but also underscored UFM’s strong commitment to integration, sustainable development, and elevating the stature of Vietnamese education on the global knowledge map.
