UFM Bustles with Activities Celebrating International Women’s Day (March 8)
In celebration of the 116th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8), the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM) organized a series of meaningful activities aimed at strengthening connections and inspiring female union members to feel the care and support from the Trade Union and the University. Through joyful moments, heartfelt sharing, and friendly interactions, the spirit of unity, warmth, and respect for women at UFM was strongly reflected and spread throughout the activities celebrating International Women’s Day.
On March 6, 2026, UFM held a special program titled “Meet-and-Greet and Flower Presentation for Outstanding Female PhD Holders” to honor female lecturers and staff members who hold doctoral degrees and have made notable contributions to teaching, scientific research, and university governance. The event formed part of the university’s broader celebration of International Women’s Day and reaffirmed UFM’s commitment to fostering a professional, inclusive, and supportive working environment where women are recognized and empowered to contribute to the institution’s development.
During the gathering, representatives of the University’s leadership extended their congratulations and appreciation to the female PhD holders, acknowledging their dedication and achievements across multiple areas, including teaching, academic advising, curriculum development, research, knowledge transfer, and university administration. Flowers and commemorative gifts were presented as a gesture of gratitude for their professionalism, perseverance, and positive impact on the UFM academic community.

The meeting also served as an opportunity for dialogue and connection among female scholars, encouraging them to continue developing their expertise and contributing to the university’s long-term strategic goals. Through such initiatives, UFM continues to cultivate a workplace culture that values equality, respect, and opportunities for women to excel through their knowledge, leadership, and commitment.
As part of the celebration, the UFM Trade Union also organized two engaging activities on the same day: a workshop titled “Basic Makeup Skills in the Office Environment” and a cake decorating contest. These events created a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for union members and staff, particularly female employees of the university.
The workshop provided participants with practical guidance on professional makeup techniques suitable for workplace settings, helping female staff enhance their confidence in daily communication, teaching, and professional engagements.
Meanwhile, the cake decorating contest brought a lively and creative spirit to the celebration. Participating teams demonstrated their creativity and teamwork through beautifully designed cakes featuring meticulous details, harmonious colors, and unique concepts. Each creation reflected not only the participants’ craftsmanship but also a shared message of appreciation and respect for women.
Through these activities, UFM reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the well-being and development of female staff members while promoting a positive and inclusive working culture across the university community. The celebration of International Women’s Day once again highlighted the important role of women as inspirational figures, intellectual contributors, and key drivers of academic excellence and institutional development at UFM.
