On July 3, 2026, University of Finance – Marketing (UFM) signed a cooperation agreement with Yuanta Securities Vietnam Limited Company, marking a new step in strengthening links between academic training and professional practice in the finance and securities sector.

The event was attended by representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Office of the State Securities Commission, Yuanta Securities Vietnam, UFM leaders, lecturers and students from finance, banking, data science, business administration, economic management and related disciplines.

Under the agreement, UFM and Yuanta Securities Vietnam will cooperate in education, research, professional consultancy, knowledge transfer and human resource development for the finance and securities industry. The two sides plan to organise conferences, seminars and professional discussions, while sharing practical expertise and creating more opportunities for students to participate in company visits, internships, career orientation activities and workplace-based learning.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Le Trung Dao, PhD, Vice Rector of UFM, emphasised that professional knowledge in finance and securities must be developed alongside ethical standards, regulatory compliance and the ability to adapt to technological change.
Following the signing ceremony, a workshop was held on the legal framework of the securities market, investor protection and public financial awareness.
Representatives from the State Securities Commission’s Ho Chi Minh City Office and Yuanta Securities Vietnam provided students with practical insights into market operations, regulatory compliance, information technology security and financial awareness in an increasingly digital environment.

The discussion also addressed career opportunities in the securities industry, the competencies required of finance professionals during digital transformation, investment risk identification and the responsible use of market information.
Through direct exchanges with regulators and industry professionals, UFM students gained practical knowledge to support their academic planning, skills development and future career choices.

The partnership with Yuanta Securities Vietnam reflects UFM’s commitment to practice-oriented education and stronger engagement with businesses and regulatory agencies. It is expected to expand students’ access to professional experience while contributing to the development of a skilled, responsible and compliance-driven workforce for Vietnam’s evolving financial market.
