On September 24, 2026, a delegation from the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Dat, President of UFM, visited and held a working session with Q University in Kazakhstan as part of UFM’s international working trip to Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation from September 23 to October 2, 2026.

The UFM delegation was welcomed by Ms. Sandugash Sharipbekovna Kulanova, Vice Rector of Q University, together with representatives of the university’s academic and administrative units.

During the meeting, the two universities discussed their development strategies, academic strengths, research activities and potential areas for collaboration. The two sides subsequently signed a Cooperation Agreement, establishing a foundation for closer partnership in education, scientific research and academic exchange.

Under the agreement, UFM and Q University will explore opportunities to jointly organize academic conferences and seminars, exchange experience in curriculum development, conduct research in areas of mutual interest, and promote faculty and student exchanges as well as academic and cultural activities.

Located in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Q University offers programs in such fields as business, management, education, law, information technology and services. Its academic profile and international development orientation provide considerable potential for collaboration with UFM, particularly in business, management and economics.

The partnership also creates new opportunities for UFM students, faculty members and researchers to engage in international academic environments, strengthen professional and research networks, and enhance intercultural experience.

The cooperation with Q University marks another step in UFM’s efforts to diversify its international partnership network and expand its academic connections into Kazakhstan and Central Asia. It also reflects the University’s commitment to developing substantive and sustainable international partnerships that contribute to the quality of education, research and global engagement.
