UFM and Q University sign cooperation agreement to expand international engagement
On September 24, 2026, as part of the international working trip of the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM) to Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation from September 23 to October 2, 2026, the UFM delegation led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Dat, President of the University, visited and worked with Q University in Kazakhstan.
The delegation was received by Ms. Sandugash Sharipbekovna Kulanova, Vice Rector of Q University, together with leaders of the university’s academic and professional units.

The visit to Q University was among UFM’s key activities to expand its network of international partners, strengthen connections with higher education institutions, and seek new cooperation opportunities in training, scientific research, and academic exchange.
During the working session, leaders of the two universities discussed development orientations, academic strengths, research priorities, and potential areas for cooperation. Based on shared interests and cooperation needs, UFM and Q University signed a cooperation agreement, laying an important foundation for the implementation of joint activities in the coming time.

The agreement focuses on training, scientific research, and academic exchange, while promoting interaction among lecturers, researchers, and students of the two universities. The two sides also discussed plans to co-organize conferences and academic seminars, share experience in curriculum development, conduct research in areas of mutual interest, and enhance lecturer and student exchange, as well as cultural and academic activities.

The signing of the agreement not only establishes a new partnership for UFM but also opens an additional channel for the University to connect with the higher education system of Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region. It contributes to diversifying UFM’s international partner network and expanding its academic space.
Located in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Q University is a higher education institution with strengths in business, management, education, law, information technology, and services. The university also places strong emphasis on international cooperation and integration. With similarities in academic orientation, particularly in business, management, and economics, Q University is considered a promising partner for UFM in future professional, academic, and research activities.
For UFM, cooperation with Q University creates further opportunities to access international experience in training organization, university governance, curriculum development, and higher education internationalization. For students, the partnership opens up more opportunities for academic and cultural exchange, helping them improve foreign language competence, communication skills, and adaptability in multicultural learning and working environments.

The visit and signing ceremony reflect UFM’s proactive orientation in expanding international cooperation with higher education institutions worldwide. In the context of globalization, digital transformation, innovation, and global knowledge connectivity, this partnership marks another step in UFM’s journey to enhance training quality, promote scientific research, broaden international learning opportunities for students, and strengthen the University’s position in regional and international higher education networks.
