UFM and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Sign Cooperation Agreement
As part of its international working trip to the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan, a delegation from the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Dat, President of UFM, visited and held a working session with Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, where the two institutions signed a cooperation agreement.
The UFM delegation was received by Dr. Ivan Vasilievich Lobanov, Rector of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, together with representatives of the university’s academic and administrative units.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed current trends in higher education development and exchanged experience in university governance, digital transformation, education, scientific research, technology transfer, and academic exchange.
The cooperation agreement provides a framework for the two universities to strengthen collaboration in modern university governance, digital transformation, curriculum development, scientific research, technology transfer, faculty exchange, and student mobility. University governance and digital transformation were among the areas of particular interest to UFM.

Through the partnership, UFM expects to gain further international experience in institutional management, the application of technology and data in university operations, and the enhancement of teaching, research, and learner support. The agreement also creates opportunities for academic units from both institutions to develop joint research activities, organize professional seminars and conferences, exchange faculty members, and expand student learning and mobility opportunities.
Plekhanov Russian University of Economics is a long-established higher education institution in the fields of economics, finance, management, and business. Its academic profile and experience in education, research, and international cooperation provide a strong basis for further collaboration with UFM.
For UFM, the partnership represents another step in expanding its international network in the Russian Federation while supporting the University’s efforts to modernize governance, accelerate digital transformation, enhance educational quality, and strengthen international integration.
