University of Finance - Marketing (UFM) and FPT Retail signed a cooperation agreement on June 23, 2026, to strengthen links between academic training and professional practice. The ceremony was followed by the talk show “Ready for Your Career?”, part of the FPT Shop CareerVerse 2026 programme, with more than 400 students in attendance.

Under the agreement, the two sides will collaborate in education and human resource development, organise career-oriented and professional programmes, and provide students with opportunities to visit, undertake field studies and complete internships across FPT Retail’s nationwide network of offices and stores.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Le Trung Dao, PhD, Vice Rector of UFM, noted that rapid technological and economic changes require students to develop professional knowledge alongside adaptability, communication skills and a responsible work ethic. Cooperation with businesses enables students to better understand employers’ expectations and prepare for their careers while still at university.

During the talk show, FPT Retail representatives shared practical guidance on preparing job applications, performing effectively in interviews and positioning personal strengths for potential employers. Students were advised to tailor their résumés to each position rather than use a single general application for different roles.

The programme also addressed common recruitment challenges, including limited interview preparation, unclear career goals and difficulties in presenting academic, internship and extracurricular experience as evidence of professional competence. Students discussed how to strengthen applications with limited work experience and build career pathways in technology retail.

The partnership forms part of UFM’s continued efforts to integrate workplace experience into education, enhance students’ employability and contribute to the development of a highly skilled workforce.
