Students gain hands-on hospitality experience at Marina Bay Vung Tau Resort & Spa
From May 7 to 9, 2026, the Faculty of Commerce and Tourism, University of Finance – Marketing, organized the Professional Practice 2 programme at Marina Bay Vung Tau Resort & Spa for 150 students majoring in Hotel Management and Restaurant and Food Service Management.
The programme enabled students to experience a professional hospitality environment, observe resort operations and strengthen practical skills aligned with their academic training.

Representatives of Marina Bay Vung Tau Resort & Spa introduced the resort’s facilities, organizational structure and operating procedures. Students then joined small-group activities across key departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and kitchen operations.
Hotel Management students practised room inspection, housekeeping procedures, check-in and check-out services, and basic guest-service situations. Meanwhile, Restaurant and Food Service Management students learned how to arrange meeting spaces, prepare different table settings and participate in a cooking demonstration under the guidance of the resort’s professional team.

Students also met departmental managers to discuss professional standards, workplace expectations, internship opportunities, recruitment and career development in the hospitality industry.

The programme strengthened cooperation between the University and businesses while helping students connect academic knowledge with professional practice. It also contributed to improving their technical skills, career awareness and readiness for the tourism and hospitality labour market.
