University of Finance - Marketing and Chihlee University of Technology Sign Memorandum of Understanding
On September 8, 2026, the University of Finance - Marketing welcomed a delegation from Chihlee University of Technology (CLUT), Taiwan, at its 778 Nguyen Kiem Campus. The meeting marked a new milestone in the partnership between the two universities, with a shared commitment to expanding cooperation in education, research, academic exchange, and international learning opportunities for students.
The CLUT delegation was led by Prof. Chen-Ju Long, PhD, President of Chihlee University of Technology, accompanied by members of the university’s leadership and representatives of its academic units. Representing the University of Finance - Marketing were Assoc. Prof. Pham Tien Dat, PhD, Rector, together with university leaders, faculty members, and representatives of relevant units.

During the meeting, the two universities discussed their development strategies, academic strengths, research activities, and potential areas for future collaboration. With both institutions sharing an orientation toward practice-based education, technology application, and responsiveness to labor market needs, the two sides agreed to foster a practical and sustainable partnership that creates greater value for students, faculty members, and the wider academic community.

A key highlight of the program was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), establishing a framework for the two universities to progressively develop joint initiatives.
Under the MOU, the University of Finance - Marketing and Chihlee University of Technology will promote faculty and student exchanges, academic information and resource sharing, collaborative research projects, and joint academic activities, including seminars, lectures, workshops, and scientific conferences.
In education, the partnership opens opportunities to explore student mobility and articulation programs, credit transfer, dual-degree and joint-degree pathways, as well as other forms of collaborative education. Programs involving credit accumulation, degree awards, or formal joint training will be further developed through separate agreements and implemented in compliance with applicable legal and institutional approval requirements.

The partnership also places emphasis on industry engagement and career development. The two universities intend to expand cooperation in internships, corporate networking, career-oriented activities, short-term study programs, cultural exchange, language training, and academic pathways from undergraduate to postgraduate education.

Joint research and academic activities are expected to provide faculty members, researchers, and students with further opportunities to exchange knowledge and professional expertise, broaden academic networks, and strengthen engagement in an increasingly international higher education environment.
The signing of the MOU with Chihlee University of Technology further expands the University of Finance - Marketing’s international partnership network and provides a foundation for translating shared objectives into concrete initiatives. Through such partnerships, the University continues to advance the internationalization of education and broaden opportunities for learning, research, academic exchange, and global engagement for its students.
