On the morning of April 13, 2026, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 866/QĐ-BGDĐT on the establishment of the Huế Branch Campus of the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM), marking a significant milestone in the University’s strategy to expand its academic network and strengthen its role in higher education development in Central Vietnam.

Under the decision, the Huế Branch Campus of the University of Finance – Marketing is established on the basis of the Huế Branch Campus of the University of Finance – Accountancy. The move is aimed at enhancing training capacity and meeting the growing demand for high-quality human resources in the Central region and nationwide.

The decision also clearly defines the responsibilities of the University of Finance – Marketing and the University of Finance – Accountancy in coordinating with relevant authorities to implement the comprehensive handover and transfer process, including personnel, learners, finance, facilities, equipment, and related records and documentation.

The establishment of the branch campus in Huế not only contributes to expanding UFM’s training scale, but also creates favorable conditions for students in the Central region to access a modern, high-quality higher education environment aligned with the trend of integration and development.

The UFM Branch Campus in Huế is founded on the inherited foundation of the former branch campus of the University of Finance – Accountancy in Huế. This transition represents not merely institutional continuity, but also the opening of a new phase of development, with a focus on improving training quality, standardizing academic programs, and expanding educational opportunities for students in the region.

Located at 284 Phạm Văn Đồng Street, Mỹ Thượng Ward, in a favorable position within Huế City’s urban development area, the branch campus spans more than 10 hectares. With a system of lecture halls, learning spaces, and functional facilities that have been relatively comprehensively invested in, the campus is gradually taking shape as a modern, dynamic, and integration-oriented educational environment.

Beyond its physical infrastructure, the UFM Branch Campus in Huế is envisioned as an open academic space where learners can access updated training programs closely linked to practical needs and labor market demands.

From the initial stage of operation, the branch campus has begun undergraduate admissions in key disciplines, including Finance – Banking, Business Administration, Accounting, International Business, and Economic Law. These are all fields with high demand for qualified human resources, particularly in the context of an economy undergoing strong transformation toward integration and digitalization.

A notable feature of the training model at the Huế Branch Campus is its flexibility and connectivity. The 1+3, 2+2, 3+1, and 4+0 models offer students multiple learning pathways. Students may begin their studies in Huế, continue their academic journey at the main campus in Ho Chi Minh City, or complete the entire program locally. These options are designed to optimize the learning experience while accommodating the diverse conditions and needs of learners.

The presence of UFM in Huế goes beyond the expansion of academic scale. More importantly, it reflects the University’s commitment to accompanying the locality in its socio-economic development process. As Central Vietnam continues to affirm its role as a major hub for the economy, tourism, and services, the demand for high-quality human resources is becoming increasingly pressing.

The UFM Branch Campus in Huế is expected to make a meaningful contribution to meeting that demand by training future generations of graduates and postgraduates equipped with solid academic knowledge, specialized skills, and an integration-oriented mindset—individuals who are capable not only of mastering their professions, but also of creating value for the community.
