From November 6–8, 2025, a delegation from the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM), led by Dr. Lê Trung Đạo, Vice President, together with Dr. Lê Quốc Thành, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education, and several staff members, paid a working visit to HELP University and UCSI University—UFM’s long-standing strategic partners in Malaysia. The delegation also attended UCSI University’s 38th Convocation Ceremony.

During the working session with HELP University, the leaders of both institutions agreed on key cooperation priorities for the upcoming period. These include expanding student exchange programs in various formats (short-term programs lasting 1–2 weeks and semester-based exchanges) to enhance international learning opportunities for both HELP and UFM students, and jointly relaunching the UFM–HELP joint master’s program starting in 2026. At the same time, the two sides will review the governance mechanisms of existing joint programs, focusing on resolving operational bottlenecks to further improve the quality of the joint undergraduate programs.

Following the working session with HELP University, at UCSI University, UFM’s leadership discussed cooperation directions aligned with regional human resource needs. The focus areas included developing new academic programs and specializations, expanding semester-based student and faculty exchange opportunities, and strengthening joint course delivery as well as mutual credit recognition. Both institutions agreed to standardize academic coordination and student affairs procedures, shorten processing times, and enhance the learning experience of joint-program students at UFM. As part of the visit, the UFM delegation attended UCSI University’s 38th Convocation Ceremony, where UFM’s leaders extended their congratulations to the new bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral graduates, and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to accompanying UCSI in future academic milestones.

The working sessions outlined an implementation roadmap to be launched as early as the next semester, focusing on student–faculty exchange programs and a flexible coordination mechanism among the academic units of the three institutions. This marks a concrete step toward UFM’s goal of enhancing the quality standards of its international joint programs, while simultaneously fostering students’ global integration competencies, digital literacy, and professional ethics. The visit reaffirmed the sustainable foundation of the UFM–HELP–UCSI partnership. Through joint training, academic exchange, and collaborative research, the three institutions are contributing to the development of high-quality human resources with a global mindset and strong social responsibility. The collaboration also aims to expand opportunities for scholarships, internships, community engagement projects, and cross-border career pathways for Vietnamese students. At the conclusion of the program, UFM and its two Malaysian partners agreed to maintain regular communication and progressively realize the agreed cooperation initiatives. UFM reaffirmed its commitment to working with its partners in Malaysia to expand international learning and research spaces, enhance social value, and contribute to improving workforce quality in the context of global integration.
