On December 30, 2025, the Ministry of Finance issued two decisions on the transfer of public assets, including land-use rights, buildings, and land-attached properties, to the University of Finance and Marketing (UFM) for management and use for educational and training purposes. This move demonstrates the strong political determination and decisive leadership of the Ministry of Finance in accelerating the restructuring and handling of public real estate in line with new practical conditions and in strict compliance with regulations on the management and use of public assets, while enhancing the effective and long-term utilization of public resources.

According to Decision No. 4335/QĐ-BTC dated December 30, 2025, the Ministry of Finance transferred two land and building facilities previously managed by the School for Training of Economic and Financial Officials to UFM.

The first facility is located at 284 Phạm Văn Đồng Street, Mỹ Thượng Ward, Huế City, comprising a system of buildings serving training and university administration purposes, including academic blocks, lecture halls, an auditorium, administrative offices, a library, a canteen and medical area, dormitories, a guardhouse, and parking facilities, on a land area of more than 5.27 hectares.

The second facility is located at 15 Nguyễn Hữu Thọ Street, Mũi Né Ward, Lâm Đồng Province, consisting of buildings, architectural structures, infrastructure, and utilities serving training and accommodation needs, along with an accompanying system of assets, equipment, and tools, on a land area of more than 3.3 hectares.

Under Decision No. 4436/QĐ-BTC dated December 30, 2025, the Ministry of Finance also transferred one land and building facility from Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance, under Vietnam Social Security, to UFM. This facility is located in Đức Nhuận Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (former address: 117C Nguyễn Đình Chính Street, Ward 15, Phú Nhuận District), with a land area of 1,231.58 square meters and a total floor area of 7,300 square meters. It was put into use in 2008. With its existing infrastructure and facilities suitable for operational needs, this site will serve as an important foundation enabling UFM to be more proactive in organizing learning spaces, classrooms, and functional rooms for training and research activities, closely integrating theoretical education with practice, and scientific research with practical application.

On the same day, December 30, 2025, with a proactive, urgent, and determined spirit, the University’s Board of Management and the President issued decisions to establish task forces and plans for asset reception, and to coordinate with handing-over units and relevant agencies to implement the decisions. On December 31, 2025, the task forces arrived at the facilities in Huế City and Lâm Đồng Province to carry out the implementation plan, aiming to swiftly take over and soon put the assets into operation in line with the directives of the Ministry of Finance’s leadership—turning work during the New Year holiday into a new source of motivation and momentum, and a practical activity welcoming the New Year 2026 and celebrating the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

For UFM, the simultaneous receipt of these three facilities represents not merely an increase in physical space, but an expansion of development capacity to meet strategic development requirements in the new context—a period of acceleration and breakthrough. The facility in Ho Chi Minh City enhances the University’s flexibility in arranging classrooms, specialized rooms, learning resource areas, and modern study spaces, which are essential to meeting growing demands in both the scale and quality of training. Meanwhile, the facilities in Huế and Mũi Né create opportunities for UFM to more strongly implement training and professional development programs, experiential semesters, practical training programs, as well as workshops and training courses.

These facilities also provide favorable conditions for developing practice-oriented learning models for programs with specific orientations such as tourism, travel, hospitality, and restaurant management, strengthening community engagement and interregional academic activities, and forming specialized practice centers as well as scientific research and application centers.

The core value of acquiring additional physical facilities lies in enhancing the learning experience and further completing a comprehensive student support ecosystem. Spaces for self-study, libraries, auditoriums, accommodation areas, and synchronized amenities provide a solid foundation for active learning approaches, increasing opportunities for skill development, academic activities, enterprise engagement, and flexible learning tailored to learners’ needs.

In light of the trust and support from the leadership of the Ministry of Finance and the demands of practical realities, the University’s leadership and President affirm that political determination must be high and actions must be even more urgent and decisive. The University is committed to continuously improving its capacity for organization and management, effectively utilizing the assigned assets, promptly carrying out reception, investment in renovation and upgrading, and establishing management structures, training programs, research, and application activities to maximize the capacity of existing assets and resources—thereby enhancing competitiveness, position, and brand reputation, achieving sustainable development within the higher and postgraduate education system, and moving toward international integration.
