UFM students excellently win high prizes at the 26th National Mathematical Olympiad for Students
  • At the end of the 26th National Mathematical Olympiad for students, the organizers have awarded 67 first prizes, 126 second prizes and 193 third prizes for excellent contestants. Especially, students of the University of Finance – Marketing (UFM) have won 1 second prize and 2 third prizes in Algebra.

  • The Closing Ceremony was held on April 14th in Dong Hoi city (Quang Binh province) to award prizes for the 26th National Mathematical Olympiad for Students in 2018. The contest was organized by the Vietnam Mathematical Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and the Vietnam Central Union of Students.
  • The contest aims to improve the quality of teaching and learning mathematics, promote the movement of mathematics study for students, and at the same time discover and foster students who are good at mathematics at universities, colleges and high-schools all over the country. This is also an opportunity for all types of students who have passion for Math to test themselves and exchange and learn with other students in the whole country.

  • This year's contest took place from April 9th to 14th at Quang Binh University with the participation of 90 delegations from 79 universities, institutes, colleges and 11 specialized high-schools nationwide with nearly 800 contestants taking part in the contest, of which there were 9 students from the University of Finance - Marketing (5 students taking algebra and 4 students taking analytic).
  • At the end of the contest, the Organizers awarded 67 First Prizes, 126 Second Prizes and 193 Third Prizes for the contestants. Particularly, 9 excellent students (4 coming first in algebra, 3 coming first in analytic and 2 coming first in algebra and analytic) were honored to be given the certificates of merit by the Ministry of Education and Training. In addition, 40 students with high achievements were also awarded the certificates of merit by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations. Seven specialized high-school students received rewards from Le Van Thiem Fund.

  • The UFM delegation under the guidance of lecturers Nguyen Van Phong, MSc., Nguyen Duc Bang, MSc. and Dr. Nguyen Tuan Duy have achieved excellent results with 3 winners: Nguyen Nhat Vi (17DKT1), second-prize winner in algebra, Nguyen Thi Truc Linh (16DQT3), and Le Nguyen Minh Anh (CLC-17DTM2), third-prize winners in algebra.
  • The 27th National Mathematical Olympiad for Students in 2019 will be held at Pham Van Dong University in Quang Ngai Province.
