Department of Finance and Planning


  • The Department of Finance & Planning (DFP) is a subordinate unit of the University of Finance & Marketing (UFM), established under Decision No. 1609/QD-DHTCM dated 13 October 2010 by the President of UFM.
  • Since its establishment, DFP has increasingly grown and developed. Up to now, the Department has been stable in scale, specialized in the function of each division to ensure good implementation of the tasks and the work of financial planning. DFP now has 10 members including 1 senior specialist, 6 officers and 3 staffs.
  • The DFP has the function of advising on and proposing to the University Management Board matters related to the implementation of financial and asset management tasks and the accounting methods. DFP implement centralized management and efficient use of the University’s financial resources in accordance with state regulations.
  • From March 2015 to now, DFP has implemented Decision 378 of the Prime Minister on the pilot implementation of autonomy mechanism and self-responsibility. With this mechanism, the University is an income-generating administration that fully self covers the costs of regular operations and investment.
  • Financial management has been implemented timely, sufficiently for teaching activities, studying activities, scientific research and other activities, ensuring the interests of officials, employees and students. The income of civil servants, faculty and staff is stabilized and gradually improved.
  • In the process of building and development, the DFP has continuously accomplished its mission for many consecutive years, receiving many certificates of merit from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education & Training and the Prime Minister. Especially, two officials of the Department were awarded the third-class Labor Medal from the Government. With each individual’s and the whole department’s continued efforts, the Department of Finance & Planning has, over the past 40 years, made significant contributions to the general development of the University.
